Lowell F. Jordison was born February 23, 1914 in Coalville, Iowa, the son of William C. Jordison and Flossie E. (Enfield) Jordison. Lowell went to his heavenly home on Aug. 21, 2008 at Heart of Ozarks Healthcare Center, Ava, MO at the age of 94 years.

On Feb. 14, 1936 Lowell and Ann D. Wentorf were united in marriage in Dayton, Iowa. Lowell and Ann were blessed with two children. He was a resident of the Ava community for the past 18 years moving from Lead Hill, AR. Before retirement, Lowell was self-employed as an electrical contractor in Ames, Iowa, where he lived for over 40 years.

Lowell was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Ava Restoration Branch. He enjoyed woodworking and in his younger days he loved traveling, camping and boating.

Lowell is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Russell, a sister Beverly Loy and an infant brother.
He is survived by Ann, his wife of 72 years, a daughter, Lo Ann Byers, both of Ava, MO, a son, L. Dean and Mary Jordison, Gilbert, Iowa, five grandchildren, David Byers, Debbie Byers, Steve Jordison, Lora VanDePol, B.J. Jordison, nine great grandchildren, two brothers, Elbert and Marie Jordison, Raymond and Betty Jordison, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with Elder Randy Spurlock and Elder Ike Rhoades officiating. Visitation is Sat. 1:00 p.m. to service time. Interment of the cremains will follow at a later date and time. Memorials may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ Ava Restoration Branch or to the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center, Ava, MO.
