Lowell B. Stewart the son of Homer Stewart and Martha Elizabeth (Nance) Stewart was born May 19, 1927 in Elmo, Missouri and departed this life Feb. 7, 2008, at the age of 80 years 8 months and 18 days.
Lowell was a U.S. Army veteran, having served his country during WWII and the Korean Conflict.
Lowell was a life long resident of the area. He attended church at Romance and Faith Life Church in Branson. Lowell was a minister and farmer. On Sept. 1, 1953 Lowell and June Daniel were united in marriage at Wasola, Missouri. Lowell and June were blessed with four children.
Lowell was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed music and started playing the mandolin when he was five years old and made mandolins by hand.
Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers. His survivors include his wife, June of the home, Wasola, MO, four children, Judy Horner, Forsyth, MO, Lowell "Buddy" Stewart II., Wasola, MO, Rebecca Creasy, Marshfield, MO, Daniel Stewart, Wasola, MO, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one sister, Ruth Britzman, Jackson, MO, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be 10:00 A.M., Wed. Feb. 13, 2008 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with the Rev. Stan Collins and Don Bradshaw officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Wasola, MO.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 6 to 7 P.M. in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, St. Jude's or Gideon International.
