LULA M. DUCKWORTH

Lula M. Duckworth passed away Monday afternoon, December 10, 2007 at Gainesville Health Care Center. She was 98 years, and 21 days old. Lula was born on November 19, 1909 in Igo, Missouri to Orville Wolfe and Leota (Nooncaster) Wolfe. On September 5, 1926 Lula and Raymond Duckworth were married in Thornfield, Missouri. To this union 7 children were born. On September 19, 1959 Raymond passed away. Lula always enjoyed working around dairy cattle. A member of the General Baptist Church, Lula is survived by her children Pauline Lee of Bradleyville, Missouri, Alene Trent of Sparta, Missouri, Erna Stehle of Theodosia, Missouri, Amos Duckworth and wife Jo of Pleasant Hope, Missouri, Elter Lawson and husband Carl of Springfield, Missouri, Andy Duckworth and wife Carol of Protem, Missouri, and Carolyn Hannaford and husband Robert of Mountain Home, Arkansas. 19 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and numerous great great grandchildren; brother Dennis Wolfe of Branson, Missouri; sisters Geneva King of Hollister, Missouri, Helen Collins of Cedar Creek, Missouri, and Bobbie Jean Herd of Hayesville, Kansas.
Lula is preceded in death by her parents Orville and Leota Wolfe, husband Raymond Duckworth, 3 sons-in-law Ollin Lee, Lloyd Trent, and E.J. Stehle; 4 brothers Lawrence, Ernest, Albert, and Emory Wolfe; one sister Ella Belle Brite; 1 grandson Dwayne Stehle, 1 great grandson, 1 great granddaughter.
Funeral Services were held Thursday, December 13, 2007 at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville, Missouri, with Tom Hodges officiating. Burial followed at Thornfield Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kenneth Lee, Gray Trent, Ronnie Stehle, David Lawson, Alan Duckworth and Keith Hannaford. Honorary Pallbearers were Harley Lee, Don Trent, Tracy Hannaford, and Jason Hannaford.
