Lyda Byerley

Lyda Byerley, 90 years, 9 months, and 23 days old, passed to Heaven on November 3, 2015 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO with her children by her side.
Lyda was born January 11, 1925 in Squires, MO to John Robert and Lou Vada (Manning) McBride.
Lyda was retired from working at Rawlings Sporting Goods, Ava. She had also worked for years at Fasco Plant in Ozark, MO.
Lyda grew up in the Rockbridge community.
She was a strong woman and raised her children in the Wasola community and then later she moved the kids to Ava.
Lyda was a Christian and was baptized in Wasola with Roy her son.
Lyda loved gardening and taking care of her flowers, she planted them everywhere. In her early years she loved farming and baby chickens.
She also enjoyed painting. Her joy was doting on her grandchildren.
Lyda was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters; Jaunita, Betty, Geneve and Shirley and five brothers; Billy, Jason, Ernie, Ray and Junior McBride, two grandsons, Jason Byerley and Randy Adams.
Lyda is survived by three children and their spouses, Roy & Sue Byerley, Rogersville, MO, Louanna Adams, Ava, MO and Judy & Larry Hesterly, Ava, MO, three grandchildren, Matt Byerley, Jeff Adams, and Toni Yost, three great grandchildren, Emiley Byerley, Krystina Yost Younglove, Kayla Yost Turner, one sister, Jewell Miller, Ava, MO, many nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Lyda will be Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial in the Girdner Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 1:00 p.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn. Memorials may be made to Girdner Cemetery.
