WILLIAM LYLE McGEE
William Lyle McGee, Gainesville, son of Oscar and Althea (McGinnis) McGee was born in Gassville, Arkansas on October 25, 1938 and passed away in his home on November 8, 2008 at the age of 70 years.
Lyle was fifteen when he graduated high school and married Barbara McLean at seventeen in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He was always a strong family man and by the age of twenty had three sons, who were his focus for the rest of his life. His grandchildren were always a source of complete joy to him. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Barbara McGee; his brother Wayne McGee of Lewiston, Idaho; his sons Rick McGee and wife Cheryl of Ozark, MO, Greg McGee of Gainesville, MO, and Keith McGee and wife Shannon of Summersville, MO; five granddaughters; three grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Althea McGee; brother and sister-in-law Willis and Ree McGee; two granddaughters; and one daughter-in-law Carma Rose McGee.
No public services are planned. Cremation Services are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville.
