Lyle Wendell Price, 75 years, passed away on August 23, 2012 at his home with his family by his side.

Lyle was born August 23, 1937 inWasola, MO to Jessie and Mattie (Martin) Price. On December 9th, 1961 Lyle and Betty Wheeler were united in marriage in Ava MO, and to this union 3 children were born.

Lyle was a lifetime resident of the Wasola community. He retired from Emersons after 14 years. He attended Happy Home Freewill Baptist Church in Ava until his health did not allow it.

Lyle enjoyed spending time on his farm, especially cutting wood. He enjoyed life and just being with all his family and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Cathy Laub, two sisters, Glenda and Hettie, and two brothers, Doy and Audie.


Lyle is survived by his wife Betty of the home, 4 sons, Faron and wife Mary of Wasola, JD and wife Pam of Wasola, Wendell of Springfield, and Russell (Bud) and wife Nina of Romance, MO, 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, one brother, Lynn Price of Kingsville, MO, one sister, Virginia Burnett of Pottersville, MO and a host of other relatives and friends.

Cremation services for Lyle are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home. The family request memorial donations be made to The Childrens Miracle Network at 3525 S. National Ave. Ste. 203 Springfield, MO 65807. No services planned per Lyle's request.
