Mack Gentry Miller, 95 ½ years old, passed to heaven on November 24, 2013 at Heart of the Ozarks Health Care Center in Ava, MO with his family by his side.

Mack was born March 09, 1918 in Bryant, MO to John Lock and Rebecca Ellen (Hall) Miller.

On May 16, 1942, Mack and Rena Mae Hampton were united in marriage and to this union three children were born.

Mack was a veteran and served in the Army Infantry and later transferred to the Air Force where he served in World War II. After the war, Mack and Rena Mae moved to Washington state to work. He made his living working carpentry and masonary. After retiring, he enjoyed making wood crafts, camping and playing his mandolin and harmonica for church, family and friends.

Mack was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Rena Mae, of 58 years, two brothers, Melvin and George Miller, one sister, Rozella McCullough, one grandson, Kraig Wayne Davis, and a great great granddaughter, Alya Grace Barcus.

Mack is survived by two daughters and their spouses; Barbara & Jack Breshears, Linda & Bob McCleary, one son and wife, Robert "Bob" & Susie Miller, fourteen grandchildren; Preston & Lisa Breshears, Kevan & Karen Davis, Delayna & Terry Dry, Teresa & Dwayne Nash, Roben Miller & Darrell, Sam & Deanna Miller, April & Kevan Hetland, Michelle & Rob Vestal, Gary & Jessi Buckner Jr., Allen & Joyce McCleary, Jackie & Dusti McCleary, Barbara & Andy Williams, Carol Johnson, Billie Gail McCleary and Jake; forty great grandchildren; twenty six great great grandchildren; two sisters; Violet & Hugh Morris and Nora Hunsaker & Lee, one sister-in-law; Reva & Russel Brott, two special caretakers, Debbie & Carol and a host of other relatives and friends.



Funeral services for Mack will be Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 9:00 A.M. at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial at Dyer Cemetery with military honors by Ava American Legion Post 112. Visitation will be Tuesday 6:00 – 7:30 P.M. Memorials may be made to Dyer Cemetery, Three Rivers Hospice or Donor's Choice.
