Makayla Marie Diel, 15 years, 4 months, and 9 days old, passed away on October 19, 2015 at her home in Ava, MO.

Makayla was born June 10, 2000 in Kansas City, MO to Paul Daniel Diel and Melissa Ann (Huff).

Makayla was a Sophomore at Ava High School. She participated in volleyball, track, FFA, FBLA, NHS and Anchor Club. She loved spending time with her friends, watching movies, listening to music and enjoyed taking pictures.
Makayla was the ideal student and athlete, school and sports were her passion. Her favorite subject was Math. Her plans were to attend college and major in Banking and Finance. Makayla had attended Walnut Grove General Baptist Church.

Makayla was preceded in death by her father, Paul Daniel Diel, a brother, Jordan, her aunt, Michelle and uncle, Gabe Huff and a grandmother, Sherry Ballew.

Makayla is survived by her mother, Melissa Huff, Springfield, MO, a sister, Lacy Diel and a brother, Dominic Thayer both of Ava, grandfather, Michael Huff, Ava, MO, grandparents, Gary & Veronica Winters, Hillsdale, KS, grandfather, Danny Joe Diel, Springfield, MO, great grandparents, Junior and Marie Huff, Ava, MO, great grandmother, Merle Winters, Gardner, KS, great grandparents, Gene & Roberta Gay, Gardner, KS, aunts, Sarah Bailey and Jennifer Harms,
uncles, aunts and a host of other relatives and many friends.


Funeral services for Makayla will be Friday, Oct. 23, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ava High School Gymnasium, Ava, MO with burial in the Springcreek Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 22nd from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava. Officiating will be Pastor Robert Roberts.
