Margaret L. Brill , 91 years, passed away on April 1st, 2014 at her home with her family by her side.

Margaret was born January 1st, 1923 in Denver, Colorado to Norman and Birdie Rhodes.

On December 29, 1950 Margaret and Robert A. "Butch" Kottmeier were united in marriage in Diggins, MO and to this union two children were born. "Butch" preceded in death in 1971. Later, Margaret was united in marriage to Jim Brill in 1973.

Margaret had a passion for painting and art. She was Douglas Counties first County Registered Nurse during the polio epidemic in the forties. She was a Christian and attended Trinity Lutheran Church where she was the organist.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands, and special friend Norval Wallen.

Margaret is survived by one son, Kristopher Kottmeier of Ava, and a daughter, Sandra "Susie" Kottmeier of Eureka Springs, AR, a Step Daughter Janice Brill of St. Louis, MO, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of friends.

Cremation Services were conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Memorials may be made to Douglas County Seniors Center.
