Margaret A. "Maggie" Chaney, the daughter of James Roy Chaney and Ruth Carnes Chaney was born on June 18, 1947 in Mtn. Grove, MO and departed this life on October 1, 2006 in Humansville, MO at the Northwood Hills Care Center at the age of 59 years, 3 months and 13 days.
She was a resident of Ava for several years. Maggie was loved and cared by her family at Brooke Care health. She loved children, nature, watching baseball games on T.V. and music.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by one brother, James Chaney, Connecticut, an aunt, Jewel Loomis, Cabool, MO, uncles, Jack Chaney, Mtn. Grove, MO, Dick & Nellie Carnes, Mtn. Grove, MO, several cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006, 2:30 p.m. at the Penner Cemetery in Douglas County with the Chaplain Belva Tarrant officiating. A visitation is set for Tuesday 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeards of Ava.
