Margaret Marie (Gano) Winters-Frye was born May 6, 1934, Faith, Meade County, South Dakota, the daughter of Dorothy (Dippert) and Walter Allen Gano. She was raised and went to School at Bison High School at Lemon, South Dakota. She left there with her 1st husband, Samuel P. Winters, and moved to Missouri. They married in Hartville May 29, 1954, but it was recorded in Douglas County, MO. She followed him around for a few years, but they came back to Douglas County, Missouri to raise their children, with the help of Mary (McNish) {Samuel's mother} and Alonzo Uchtman {Samuel's step dad}. Marie raised garden, cattle, and her 4 children. Samuel and Margaret's married ended in divorced in 1975. Margaret Marie remarried June 4, 1984, to Ira Freeman Frye. Marie and Ira had no children together. They were together until Ira's death. Now she has gone joined him. Margaret Marie Frye died Nov. 23, 2016 at Heart of the Ozark, Ava, Missouri. They tried their best to take care of her.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Ira Freeman Frye, mother Dorothy Nora Jesse (Dippert) Gano, Lewton, father Walter Allen Gano, step-father John Maurice Lewton, 2 brothers: Monte Vernon Gano and Milton James Lewton, and 2 great grand-children: Xander James Burkhart and Rhyder Alex Brazeal.

Margaret Marie Frye is survived by her 4 children: Rose {husband Ray} Brazeal, Samuel Pierce Winters, Maryanne {her husband Terry J. Brazeal} all of Mansfield, MO, and Shirley Sue Winters of Ava, MO, 8 grand-children: Marie {husband James} Bloodworth of Mansfield, MO, James A. Brazeal of Lowell, Ark., Bobby J. {wife Megan} Brazeal of Bethel Height, Ark, Vernon R. {wife Crystal} Brazeal of Hartville, MO, Thomas R. Brazeal of Mansfield, MO, Jerry E. {wife Joanna} Brazeal of Angola, Ind., John A. Brazeal {with Mindy } of Mansfield, MO, and Terry J. Brazeal {his girl-friend Laura Kay} of Mansfield, MO, and 21 great grand-children: Cameron, Echo, Leona, Alton Bloodworth, Mickael, and Tucker Brazeal, Devin and Dakota Dugger, Daysen and Daxsen Brazeal, Raven, Khelben, and Amy Brazeal, Travis J and Samuel Brazeal, Logan and Kylar Burkhart, Xzayvier and Arryanna Brazeal, Tristen Newman, and Colt Brazeal, 2 sister: Cleo A. (Gano) Wilbur of Lemon, South Dakota and Caroline (Lewton) {Rosander} Rumminger {her husband Gene} of Murrieta, California, and 5 brothers: David P. Gano {wife Judy} of Meadow, South Dakota, John A. Lewton {wife Marlene} of Sturgis, South Dakota, Terry L. Lewton {wife Sue} of Loveland Colorado, Cecil L. Lewton of Rapid City, South Dakota, and Richard W. Lewton of Gillette, Wyoming and many nephew, nieces and cousins.

Funeral services for Margaret Marie will be Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home Chapel in Ava, MO with burial in the Fannon Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, November 28th from 6-7:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn. Memorials can be made to the family as a love offering.
