Margaret Sue Taylor, 59 years, passed away on November 3, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO with her family by her side.
Margaret was born March 12, 1957 in Portageville, MO to Jimmy Ray and Venie Mae (Aaron) Downey.
Margaret and Jerry McMullen together have had 23 wonderful years.
Margaret was raised in the Pentecostal Faith. Margaret's joy was spending time with all her family. She enjoyed reading books, putting puzzles together, and color painting books.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, David and Carl Downey, and a niece, Shelly Downey.
Margaret is survived by her companion, Jerry McMullen, Ava, MO, four children, Patricia Downey, Jessica Hackworth, Susan Cathcart, and James Taylor, Jr., three grandchildren, Justin & wife, Jessica Gladson, Jacob Cathcart, and Jesse McCracken, three great grandchildren, Sean, Phoenix, and Emily, four brothers, Dennis Downey, Denver Downey, Mike & Laura Downey, and Ricky Downey, four sisters, Leona & Larry Sanders, Nancy & Steve Cahoon, Deana & Mike Reichling, and Barb & Tim Young, many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Cremation services for Margaret per her wishes are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Memorials St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
