Marian Moss Edmiston

Marian Moss Edmiston, 91 years,1 month, and 1 day old, passed away on June 8, 2024, at her home with family by her side.

Marian was born May 7, 1933, in St. Louis, Missouri to Richard and Rose (Palmer) Menzel.

In 1954, Marian married Olan Moss in Hillsboro, Missouri.  Together they had three children, Susan, Patricia, and Bryan.  Olan passed away in 1979.

Marian and Albert Edmiston were united in marriage on December 26, 1982, in Hillsboro, Missouri.

She  liked gardening both flowers and produce, and she loved to cook. Marian enjoyed deer hunting and fishing and did so until her late eighties.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Shirley Berthold.

Marian is survived by her husband, Albert; her children, Susan Ring and husband Mike, Patricia Schmidt and husband Brad, and Bryan Moss; grandchildren, Bridget Ring, Phil Ring, Paul Schmidt, John Schmidt, Elizabeth Schmidt, Kelly Merkt, and Caryn Merkt; great grandchildren, Mikal Merkt and Mason Pierce; brother Bud Menzel and wife, Peggy of Idaho.

Funeral Mass for Marian will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Ava, Missouri. Visitation will be at 12:00 until 1:30 P.M. at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava.  Officiating will be Father Shoby .
