MARIE HAMBELTON
Rose Marie Hambelton, 91, of Gainesville, MO passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at the Gainesville Health Care Center. She was born December 10, 1917 in Ozark County, MO the daughter of Lyman and Ethel (Walker) Stevens.
On May 29, 1937 Marie was united in marriage to Paul Hambelton at Three Brothers, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on May 11, 1983.
Marie, along with her husband, was a farmer, and former owner operator of the Central Hotel in Gainesville. She was a former member of the Gainesville Saddle Club. "Rea Rea" will be greatly missed by all those that loved her.
Marie is survived by one brother Frank "Skeeter" Stevens of Gainesville, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 31, 2009 at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO with Jeff Dotson officiating. Interment will be in the Sims Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday morning from 10:00 AM to service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ozark County Foundation of Hope, PO Box 714, Gainesville, MO 65655 or to the givers choice.
