Marie Osburn

Ava, MO

Marie Elsie Osburn, 93 years, 1 month, and 8 days old, passed to Heaven on January 25, 2015 at her home with her loving family by her side.

Marie was born December 17, 1921 in Douglas County, MO to John Victor and Myrtle (Essary) Cunningham.

Marie and Willie Osburn were united in marriage on December 23, 1938 in Ava, MO and to this union five children were born.

Marie was a Christian and was saved and baptized on May 4, 1980.
She enjoyed fishing and being with her family.
Marie had a sweet but strong spirit. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Loved by all.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Willie in 1979, two sons, Ronnie Lee in 2010 and Bobby Osburn in 2008, son-in-law, Johnnie Cline in 2009 and grandson, Ricky Cline in 2011.

Marie is survived by three children, Norene Cline, Ozark, MO, Melvin Osburn and wife, Pat, Ava, MO and Gale Osburn and wife, Wanda, Ozark, MO, daughter-in-laws, Connie Osburn, Ava and Sheila Osburn-Gant, Sparta, MO,16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Marie will be Wed., January 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor James Orick.
