Marilyn Sue Goff

Mansfield, Missouri

Marilyn Sue Goff, 68 years, 4 months, 21 days old, passed away on February 11, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO with her family by her side.

Marilyn was born September 20, 1948 in Mansfield, MO to George and Laurel (Wallace) Clouse.

On March 24, 1967 Marilyn married the love of her life, David Goff in Mansfield, MO and to this union two children were born.

Marilyn was a Christian and a member of the Brush Arbor Church of God (Holiness) in Mansfield, MO.


Marilyn enjoyed reading cookbooks, cooking and was a great cook. Her calling in life was loving people unconditionally. She loved her family, babies and children and they loved her. Her love of children marked her life. She loved to have fun and pick on people. She was strong and feisty yet incredibly compassionate as she devoted herself to caring for her family. She was a homemaker, devoted wife for almost 50 years to her husband David, and loving mother to her children. Her grandchildren and great grandchild were the light of her life. Marilyn was a generous, loving soul that touched the heart of all who knew her. Marilyn will truly be missed by all of her loving family and friends.


Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents.

Left to enjoy her memory is her husband, David Goff of Mansfield, MO, two sons, Dwayne Goff and wife Kris of Jonesboro, AR, and Darryl Goff of Chattanooga, TN, four grandchildren, Gage Goff and Kortney Goff of Jonesboro, AR, Adrianne Goff of Strafford, MO and Madison Goff of Rogersville, AR, one great-granddaughter, Braelynn Evans of Strafford, MO, three brothers, Billy Clouse, Bobby Clouse and Ronnie Clouse and a host of other relatives and friends.


A celebration of her life will be Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial in the Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation will be Wed. at 2:00 p.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Gaylerd Miller and Rev. Bobby Clouse.

In Lieu of Flowers the family has requested that for lasting memorials to consider giving to Gideons International or Mt. Zion Bible School.
