Marilyn Sue Huffman, 62 years, passed to heaven on February 5, 2010 from a brave battle with cancer at her home, with her family by her side.

Marilyn was born June 2, 1947 in Jefferson, IA to Leon and Alice (Fister) Robinson.

Marilyn was a resident of the Ava community since 1999 moving from Visilia, CA. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and Social Worker for the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare in Ava, MO. She had worked there for over 10 years. Marilyn was married to Ron Cruse in 1964 and to this union five children were born.

On June 16, 2006 Marilyn and Kelly Huffman were united in marriage in Ava, MO. She was a Christian and attended the Basher Church in Ava. Marilyn enjoyed the farm with Kelly and especially found joy in riding the big green tractor. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. She also loved to cook. Marilyn delighted in being with her grandchildren and having tea parties with her great granddaughter, Zoe. Marilyn adored and enjoyed all her family. In her work and her life she was a treasure and light to all that knew her.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Kelly Huffman, Ava, MO, five children & their spouses, Jeff & Kathy Cruse, Ava, MO, Mark & MaryAnn Cruse, Mansfield, MO, Ronda Cruse, Springfield, MO, Angie Gosnell, Pleasant Hope, MO and Brad & Alma Cruse, Visilia, CA, two step children, Jacob Lipps and Jessica Colton, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, two brothers & their wives, Charles & Carolyn Robinson, Mansfield, MO and Terry & Ruth Robinson, Hartville, MO, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Marilyn will be Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, 2:00 p.m.at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Denney Cemetery. Visitation will be Sat. from 1:00 p.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Junior Hall. Memorials may be made to Neighbor Helping Neighbor.
