Marion Rudolph Burdue the son of Rudolph and Lillian Burdue was born April 10, 1925 in El Dorado, AR and departed this life Oct. 22, 2009 at the age of 84 years 5 months and 12 days.
Buddy was a resident of Ava, MO for the past four years moving here from California. He served his country during WWII with the US Navy and retired after 25 years of service.
In 1963 Buddy and Ruth Wilson were united in marriage in California. Buddy enjoyed working in his flower garden and was a member of the VFW in California.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Jerry Burdue, one brother, and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, Ava, MO, sister-in-law, Doyne and Dorsey Huffman, Ava, MO, nephew, Scott Huffman and Gail, Virginia Beach, VA, special friends, Marvin and Sybil Fleetwood, Ava, MO and other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, Oct. 26, 2009 in the Denney Cemetery with Chaplain Roger Flint officiating with full military honors by the Navy and Ava American Legion Post 112 & VFW #5993. Services are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
