Marjorie (Bowden) Addis

Marjorie Addis, 94 years, 3 months, and 12 days old, passed away on June 15, 2016 at her home in Springfield with her loved ones by her side.

Marjorie was born March 3, 1922 in Pearl, MT to Howard and Florence (Bell) Bowden.

She was a resident of Ozark county for the majority of her life. Marjorie was a retired Lab Technician for Baxter International Inc. in Mtn. Home, AR, having worked there for over 30 years.

Marjorie was passionately devoted to her family and cared for her home and garden with boundless energy. She loved reading, crocheting, embroidering, canning and cooking. She delighted in entertaining her family and friends with her home cooked meals and freshly baked pies. Everyone who entered her home felt loved and accepted.

Marjorie was preceded in death by a son, Don Addis, two brothers, and three sisters.

Marjorie is survived by three children, Peggy Davis, Lake Tapawingo, MO, Tim Addis, Harrison, AR, and Christi Taylor, Springfield, MO, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.


A Memorial service for Marjorie will be Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO. Visitation will start at 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be her great grandson, Daniel Harris.
