Obituary

Marjorie Louise Hodges the daughter of Herschel and Alma (Roberts) Gott was born May 12, 1927 in Douglas County near Green Valley, MO and departed this life Dec. 28, 2010 with her family by her bedside. She was 83 years of age.

Marjorie attended school at Bradleyville, MO until her sophomore years and then finished high school in Ava, MO. She attended S.M.S. in Springfield, MO and taught school at Home Stead School in Douglas County near Green Valley, MO.

Aug. 28, 1946 Marjorie and Ollen "Bott" Hodges were united in marriage in Ava, MO. Marjorie and Bott were blessed with a daughter, Deanna Kay and a son, Tony Ray.

She and her husband lived in Bradleyville, MO where they owned and operated a garage for over 30 years and the last few years in business they operated Hodges Auto Store. Along with their business they were farmers. Marjorie was a member of the Church of Christ at Oak Ridge Church.

Marjorie was preceded in death by husband Bott, her parents, Herschel and Alma Gott, one grand- daughter, Angela Dawn Badovinatz, and a great grandson, Brandan Hankins.

Survivors include a daughter, Deanna Badovinatz and husband Vic of Bradleyville, a son Tony Hodges of Ava, one sister, Virginia Clayton, Bradleyville, two grand-daughters, Tammie Hankins and husband Roger of Taneyville, Myka Hurst and husband, Darin of Bradleyville, three grandsons, Reggie Badovinatz and wife Tracie of Sparta, C.J. Badovinatz and Heather of Water Town, NY, Tim Hodges and 7 great grandchildren, Devin Hankins, Tyler, Hankins, Baylee Hurst, Kaylon Badovinatz, Shawn Bodovinatz, Amechole Badovinatz . She leaves to mourn a host of relatives and friends.

Services will be Monday, Jan. 3, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with the Rev. Vernon Fuller and Pastor Jack Clemons officiating. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 12:30 to service time. Memorials may be made to Blair Cemetery.
