Mark Ewing Stover

Mark Ewing Stover, 68 years, 10 months, 23 days old, passed on to Heaven February 7, 2017 at the family home with his family by his side.
Mark was born March 14, 1948 in Postville, Iowa to Verne Hale and Gladys Mae (Ewing) Stover.
Mark served his country in the United States Navy from May 1968 to February 1972 during which he served in Vietnam War.
Mark and Carol Jean Herrington were united in marriage in Martelle, Iowa on August 29, 1980.
Mark worked at Copeland for over 37 years where he held numerous job titles and later retired.
Mark was very passionate about serving Jesus Christ and a member of the Ava General Baptist Church.
Mark enjoyed old english sports cars, rail road hobbies, building models from scratch and spending time with his grandkids.
Mark was preceded in death by parents.
Mark is survived by Carol and four children, Adam and Melanie Stover, Tobi and Matt Howerton, Eli Stover and Kara and Matthew Stover and Amy, ten grandchildren, Mikaela, Ariana, Noah, Zoe, Elijah, Hadassah, Simeon, Luke, Caleb and Kelsey, one sister, Marsha Fairbanks, two brothers, Judson and Jayson, four nieces and nephews, AmyJo, Amber, Mary and Conan and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mark will be Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ava General Baptist Church , Ava, MO with full military honors by Troy Herd American Legion Post # 112 and Navy Detail. Cremation to follow. Visitation will be Friday, February 10th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn .
