MARRON MICHAEL SCHULTZ

Marron Michael Schultz, aka Mike Schultz, age 77 of Gainesville, MO passed away July 13, 2019 in Gainesville. He was born March 9, 1942 in Ashland, WI.

He graduated from Bayfield High School in 1960, then on to meat cutting school. He worked as a butcher in Duluth, MN for several years. Mike decided to chase his dreams by moving to sunny southern California. He was soon followed by his mother, Ceil Schultz, as well as his siblings, Jason, Neil & Julie. In California, Mike was frequently found at the palladium dancing to Lawrence Welk or listening to the music at Cal's Corral in Huntington Park, while many weekends were spent up at Big Bear. After quite a few years he moved to Houston, Texas, then back to California and finally back to Bayfield, WI, where he started a garbage collection route. Mike then sold that very successful business and started a worm farm "Master Bait Farm" as well as going into the Birch Bark business, where he established a wholesale market supplying gift shops in a 150-mile radius with Birch Bark products he produced. Upon retirement, he moved to Salome, Arizona and then on to Texas and finally settling in the Gainesville, MO area. Mike is fondly remembered as a fun-loving guy who enjoyed a good party.

He is survived by his brothers, Jason Schultz of Bayfield, WI, Neil Schultz of Iron River, WI; his sister Julie Rorher of Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike Schultz and Ceil (Galazen) Schultz.

The family will honor Mike's request for cremation and private services. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
