Martha Eleanor (Tester) Goodrich, 81 years, 11 months, and 6 days old, passed away on February 8, 2014 at Ava Place, Ava MO.

Martha was born March 2, 1932 in Owosso, MI to Percy Webster and Ivah Mary (Shoop) Tester.
On September 10, 1949 Martha was united in marriage to Charles Eugene Royston and to this union five children were born.

Later in her life she met and married Stanley Goodrich of Sunfield, MI.

Martha was a member of the Ava Full Gospel Church and served many years in the ladies auxiliary.

Martha enjoyed gardening and preserving, and many in the Ava community will remember her as a hard working, kind, happy women who sold her products on the south-east corner of the Ava Farmer's Market for almost twenty years. She was also a skilled knitter, quilter, and handi-crafter. She loved to make gifts for her family and friends. She especially loved to make blankets and quilts to welcome new grand and great-grandchildren.

Martha also loved to cook. Feeding her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought her much joy and satisfaction. She always liked trying new recipes and then adapting them and making them her own. Her recipes and huge dinners are legendary in her family's, and many of her friends' minds and hearts.

Martha is survived by her husband, Stanley, Ava, MO; her children Kathryn (Stanley Jr.) Goodrich, Lake Odessa, MI, Trudy (Mark) Royston-Stupperich, Fordland, MO, John (Christine) Royston, Santa Rosa, CA, and Michelle Laban, Thomasville, NC; nineteen grandchildren, thirty six great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, brothers, Herman (Carol) Tester, Seney, MI, and Harold (Sue) Tester, Curtis, MI, and sisters, Mary (Harold) Royson, El Jobean, FL, and Eva Wymer, Macks Creek, MO.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her very dear stepmother Nina Mae (Holcomb) Tester, first husband Charles, her daughter Dolly Martha Royston-Cudney, her grandsons Douglas Brian Seabrook, Robert Edgar Gilbert, and Roscoe Lee Cudney; her granddaughter Gabrielle Martha Cudney, and her younger sister, Ellen Crane.

Cremation services for Martha are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Memorial Service to be announced at a later date. Memorials may be made to Ava Victory Academy or Ava Full Gospel Church.
