Marvin Roy Huff the son of Elbert J. Huff and Celestie Cardelia D. Legg Huff was born on Nov. 24, 1912 in Meadowview, Virginia and at 5 months old moved to Missouri and departed this life on Aug. 21, 2007 in his home in Ava, MO at the age of 94 years, 8 months and 27 days.
Marvin was a resident of Ava community since 1967 moving from CA where he worked as a Machinist for 30 years. He was also a farmer. On July 27, 1936 Marvin and Valma Agnes Davis were united in marriage in Yuma, AZ.
She preceded in death in Nov. of 2006. Marvin was a 50 year member of the Ava Masonic Lodge and was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. Marvin enjoyed being with his family.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Valma, three sisters, Armenta Hamilton, Roxie Dewhirst and Nora Belle Stone and three brothers, William "Willie", Herbert and Barton Huff.
He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great & great great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Services for Marvin are Sat., 10:00 A.M., Aug. 25, 2007 in Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with the Rev. Tom Johnson officiating. Masonic Services will also be conducted. Interment will follow in the Goodhope Cemetery. Family requests memorials to the Community Hospice of Mtn. Grove at the funeral home.
