Marvin "Butch" Degase

Squires, Missouri

Marvin Paul Degase, 79 years and 22 days old, passed away on July 20, 2022 at his home.

"Butch" was born in Foil, MO to Dude Ester and Audree Helen (Ross)    Degase.

On August 6, 1964 "Butch" and Dyanna Jean Pruitt were united in marriage in Arvada, Colorado. Together they were blessed to have three sons, Brian, Mark, and Tim.

"Butch" was retired from working at Hutchens Steel in Mansfield, MO. Prior to that he worked at Emerson Electric in Ava for over 15 years. He was a "Jack of All Trades",…he could wire a house, do plumbing and rock masonry work. He enjoyed hunting, arguing on politics and visiting with his neighbors. His love was being with his family and especially the grand and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Mark in 2010; his wife, Dyanna in 2019; one sister, Angie Farris.

"Butch" is survived by two sons, Brian and Christie Degase of Ava, Missouri and Tim Degase of Garden City, Missouri; grandchildren, Ransome, Grace, Devon, Nichole, and Cooper; great grandchildren, Sarah, Grayson, Jesse, Lydia, Judah, Olivia, Madalyn, Elijah, and Isaiah; a sister, Colleen Lakey; brothers, Wayne Degase and wife, Yvonne, Rocky Degase and wife, Lois; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.

Funeral services for "Butch" will be Monday, July 25, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Murray Cemetery, Squires, MO. Visitation will be prior to the service on Monday at 9:00 A.M.  Officiating will be Pastor Stan Collins. Memorials may be made to Murray Cemetery.
