Marvin Riley

Marvin Riley, 86 years, passed away on October 5, 2012 at Kabul Nursing Home, Cabool, MO.

Marvin was born February 25, 1926 in Blanche, MO to W.M. and Dora Elizabeth (Riley) Riley.

Marvin was a resident of Mtn. Grove for many years. He was a retired Dairy Farmer. On June 7, 1952 Marvin and Donna Mae Pomering were united in marriage in Rockford, IL and to this union one son, Gary Lee was born.



Marvin was a Navy veteran and served in WWII in the Phillipines.Marvin enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and working on the farm.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Donna Mae in 2007, two sisters, Flo Schroeder and Betty Sue Grover, three brothers, Ralph, Junior and Lavern Riley.


Marvin is survived by a son & wife, Gary Lee & Joyce Riley, Mtn. Grove, MO, one grandson, Joe Lee Riley, Gassville, AR, one great grandson, Zack Riley, Gassville, AR, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. The family would like to extend a loving thanks to Bud Riley and Deloris Allen for their support and help.


Graveside services for Marvin will be Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, 2:00 p.m. at the Henderson Cemetery near Gentryville with full Military Honors by Mtn. Grove American Legion#30. There will be open viewing from Monday till service time at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Officiating will be Pastor Dwayne Sparks. In lieu of flowers family requests memorials to the Henderson Cemetery.
