MARY AGNES DENNIS

Mary Agnes Dennis, 97, of Flippin, AR passed to heaven on May 3, 2017 at the Gainesville Healthcare Center in Gainesville, MO surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 26, 1920 in Flippin, AR, one of twelve children born to Charles and Alice Wood.

She was united in marriage to Robert Dennis and spent most of her life as a loving homemaker, mother and grandmother. Many didn't know her by her given name, but lovingly referred to her as "Mamma". She spent many years working as a nursery volunteer at Flippin First Baptist Church alongside her good friend Ms. Fern Benton. Mamma also dedicated many years of her life as a babysitter for her own grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. You always felt at home at Mamma's. She loved working in her garden and taking care of her flowers. She was a Christian and a long-time member of the Flippin First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert Dennis; one son Doyle Dennis; one daughter Barbara Baker; and several siblings.
She is survived by five grandchildren, Karen Brantingham and husband Dan of Noble, MO, Carol Ford of Mountain Home, AR, Paul Ray Miller of Jonesboro, AR, Tracie Kopacz and husband Kevin of Flippin, AR, Carrie Williamson and husband Chuck of Cave Springs, AR; nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Her family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Gainesville Healthcare Center staff for the wonderful care given to "Mamma".

Graveside Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017 in the Flippin City Cemetery, Flippin, AR. A small informal visitation will be held from 3-4 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2017 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Flippin City Cemetery. Arrangements are by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
