Obituary

Mary (Betty) Dingman, 80, died Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Happy Siesta Care Center in Remsen, Iowa.
Betty was born December 3, 1935 to Heman and Rozella Liscum in Renwick, Iowa. She grew up on a farm in Hardy, Iowa, graduating from Vernon High School in 1953.
After graduating, Betty worked at Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The next year she met her husband of 55 years, Marlin (Marv) Dingman. On June 18, 1955 they were married at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa, and were blessed with six daughters.
Marv and Betty lived in Fort Dodge, Iowa and Harcourt, Iowa before moving to Humboldt, Iowa in 1964. They raised their family and remained in Humboldt until retiring to Theodosia, Missouri in 1984. Betty remained living there until 2012 when she moved back to Northwest Iowa to be closer to family.
Betty enjoyed bowling, gardening, crafts, and being an active member of the Auxiliary in both AMVETS and VFW.
Betty is survived by five daughters: Carolyn (Bill) Quinett of Madison, South Dakota; Michelle Carpenter (Lewis Jacobson) of Webster City, Iowa; Kelly (Jim) VanSickle of Laurens, Iowa; Elaine (Ron) Mooney of Le Mars, Iowa; and Mary Cejka (Ted Watson) of Burnsville, MN.
Also left to cherish her memory include 9 grandchildren: Corey (Jackie) VanSickle, April (Jon) Graff, Lacey (Bjorn) Carlson, Amanda (Jesse) Conrad, Travis Mooney, Rachael Mooney, Adam (Kati) Dingman, Chase Cejka, and Tanner Cejka; 7 step grandchildren; Matt Quinnett, Nicole (Jeremy) Shores, Greg Carpenter, Jamie Carpenter, Chrystal Carpenter, Brooke Cejka, and Brad Cejka; 9 great grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brother Lawrence (Donna) Liscum, half-sisters Bernadine(Don) Sells, Denise Fude, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Marv; infant daughter, Gwendolyn; parents Heman Liscum and Rozella Chapman Olsen; and grandson Jeffrey McGillivray.

Funeral Services will be held Tues. Nov 22nd at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville, Missouri. Burial will be at the Lutie Cemetery in Theodosia, Missouri. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. with the services to follow at 11:00.
Pallbearers will be, Corey Van Sickle, Adam Dingman, Travis Mooney, Chase Cejka, and Tanner Cejka. Honorary Pallbeares will be, Jesse Conrad, Jon Graff, Bjorn Carlson, Matt Quinnett, and Jeremy Shores.
Arrangements are by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
