Mary Lois Eggleston

Ava, Missouri

Mary Lois Eggleston,  80 years, 7 months, 9 days old, passed away peacefully on , May 27, 2025, at home in Ava, Missouri.

Mary was born in Pontiac, Michigan, on October 18, 1944. She moved to Carlsbad, New Mexico, with her family and graduated with a degree as  registered nurse.

Mary and Marvin Eggleston were united in marriage on February 2, 1968,  in Ft. Worth, Texas.

She had many hobbies including needlepoint and quilting.  Mary also cherished time with her family, horses, and dogs, whom she loved very much.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, David Herveat and mother, Carol Herveat; her father-in-law, Marvin Lacy Eggleston, and mother-in-law, Bobbie Jo Eggleston, to whom she was very close.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Marvin Lee Eggleston; her three children, Shawn Eggleston and his wife, Beth, Joe Eggleston and his wife Michel, and her daughter, Shannon Leff; four grandchildren, Cory Eggleston, Drew Eggleston, Alex Eggleston, and Mary Ellen Eggleston; five great grandchildren; her sister, Gale Allen of Keller, Texas, and her brother, Mark Herveat of North Richland Hills, Texas.

Mary will be greatly missed by her family and loved ones.

Funeral services for Mary will be Monday, June 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel in Ava, Missouri. Visitation will be Friday, May 30, 2025, from 6:00 to7:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel. Burial will be in the Ava cemetery.  Officiating will be Pastor Don Lunn.
