Mary M. (Brown) Frye

Mary M. Frye, daughter of Russell Brown and Beatrice Bishop Brown was born on October 20, 1922 in Garden City, KS and departed this life on March 11, 2007 in Gainesville, MO at the age of 84 years, 4 months and 21 days.

Mary was a resident of Gainesville Health Care for the past seven years moving from Squires, MO where she lived and worked with her husband Fonzo on the farm for many years. On Nov. 25, 1940 Mary and Fonzo Frye were united in marriage in Ozark County, MO and to this union three children were born. Mary enjoyed watching stock car races, gardening, cooking, sewing and working on the farm. She devoted her life to her husband, Fonzo, and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fonzo, and one brother, Ralph. Her survivors include two daughters and their spouses, Sue & Norman Klayman, Pontiac, MO, Kathy & Monty Valentine, Squires, MO and one son & wife, Bill & Carol Frye, Greenbrier, AR, six grandchildren, Alan, Zeke, Brandon, Rocky, Madison and Sarah, four great grandchildren, Timothy, Alana, Lucy and Cole, one great great granddaughter, Reality,one great-great grandson, Zane Scott, one brother, David Brown and wife, Mary, Mound Valley, Kansas and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services for Mary are Wednesday, March, 14, 2007, 10:00 A.M., Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with the Rev. Tom Johnson and Casey Pierce officiating.
Interment will follow in the Spring Creek Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 6:30 to 7:30 in the funeral home. Family requests memorials to the Spring Creek Cemetery or the donor's choice.
