Mary Ann Hathcock, 78 years, passed to heaven on April 17, 2013 at her home from a long illness with her family by her side.

Mary Ann was born November 14, 1934 in Gainesville, MO to Glen V. and Saless (Herd) Hartley. She graduated from Gainesville High School.

Mary Ann was a resident of the Ava community most of her life. On July 26, 1953 Mary Ann and Martin J. Hathcock were united in marriage in her parents home by her great grandfather, D.A. Honeycutt in Romance, MO in Ozark County. To this union six children were born.



Mary Ann was a member of the Mt. Tabor General Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, sewing and being with her grandchildren.
Mary Ann was lovingly devoted to her family and friends.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Martin Hathcock, Ava, MO,six children & their spouses, Kathy Jo & Ed Koca, Greenfield, MO, Janice Jones, Ozark, MO, Pat "Kim" & Wes Smith, Norwood, MO, Ronda Ann & Eleazar Soto, Nixa, MO, Jimmy Martin & Jo Hathcock, Ava, MO and Bob & Tari Hathcock, Washington, MO, 15 granchildren, 21 great grandchildren (2 on the way), four brothers and sisters, Bob Hartley, Springfield, MO, Ruby Sievert, Squires, MO, Sharon Keeland, Independence, MO and Ronnie Hartley, Blue Springs, MO, many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Mary Ann will be Sat., April 20, 2013, 2:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 pm in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor James Hathcock & Pastor Ric Englehardt.
