Mary Etta Kyle

Mary Etta Minkler-Kyle, was born to Clark and Ada Minkler in Brush Creek, MO on September 19, 1927, and passed away June 25, 2014 at The Maples with family by her side, at the age of 86.
She was married to Jack H. Kyle, November 22, 1951. They had three children, Rick Kyle and wife Michal, Kent Kyle and wife Jerri Lynn, and Julie Simonson and husband Tim all of Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, and her sister, Jean Norris. She is survived by a sister, Doris Richardson and husband Claire, brother-n-law, Ernest Norris and many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her dearly.
Grandchildren include Mary Jo Williams and husband Johnny of Nixa, Josh Maynard of Branson, Mackenzie Maynard, Colton and Jayden Simonson, Adam and Morgan Kyle, all of Springfield. Great-grandchildren are Madison, McKenzie, Paxton and Kanon Williams of Nixa.
Mary had a lifelong love of gardening and was a past president of Brentwood Estates Garden Club and a member for over 40 years. She enjoyed painting, ceramics, and going to lunch and coffee with friends. She and Jack enjoyed boating at the lake, spending time with friends and traveling around the world. Jack and Mary were long time members of Unity Church.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff and care givers at The Maples Rehabilitation Center and Regional Hospice. Not only was she well cared for, she was also loved.
Mary will forever be loved by family and friends. To the kids, she was mom, to the grandkids she was Grandma Mary, to friends she was Maryetta, and to Jack, she was Saint Mary. We cherish the memories we hold and will miss her dearly.
Services for Mary will be Monday, June 30, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at the Unity Church, 2214 E. Seminole St., Springfield, MO with a visitation at 10:00 a.m. to service time at the church. Officiating will be Pastor Sue Baggett-Spears and Rev. Jimmy Kyle. Graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
