Mary Ellen Nash the daughter of Clarence Trowbridge and Bernice (Thompson) Trowbridge was born Jan. 29, 1943 in Rochelle, IL and departed this life Sept. 18, 2007 at Cox hospital in Springfield, MO at the age of 64 years 7 months and 19 days after a courageous battle against cancer.
Mary was a resident of Douglas County, MO for most of her life. She was owner and operator of J.C. Penney Catalog Sales. Mary was a Christian. On March 30, 1964 Mary and Ronald O. Nash were united in marriage in Rochelle, IL. Mary had two sons, Dondi and Randy Nash. Mary enjoyed traveling when she could and spending time with her family.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her companion, Mickey Wharton of Ava, two sons, Randy Nash and wife, Jayne, Escondido, CA, Dondi Nash, Ava, MO, two stepchildren, Debbie Kotelnicki, Scottsville, Kentucky, Dale Nash, St. Charles, IL, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two brothers, Charles Trowbridge, Quincy, IL, Richard Trowbridge, Warner Robins, Georgia and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, Sept. 21, 2007 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with Elder Dale Wharton and Elder David Kelsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Fannon Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 6 to 7 P.M. in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks, 330 N. Jefferson, Springfield, MO, 65806 or at the funeral.
