Mary Elizabeth (Brown) Whited, age 82 of Ava MO passed away April 7, 2026 at Heart of the Ozarks Health Center. She was born August 29, 1943 in Ava MO, the daughter of Edith (Chamberlain) and Frank Brown. Mary was known for her kind heart. She was very compassionate and giving. She loved her family dearly. Mary will be deeply be missed. 

Mary is reunited with her husband Bobby Whited who since 2015 preceded her in death. Also preceding her are two sisters, Glenda Harper, Ada Cornelison, and daughter-in-law Becky Whited of Ava MO. 

She is survived by her children, Paul Brown of New Mexico, Deborah Whited of Seymour MO, Robert Whited of Ava MO, Cora Wilson (Raymond Wilson) of Seymour MO, Patricia Kirkland (Nathan Watson) of Fort Worth TX, Dennis Whited (LeAnn Whited) of Seymour, MO, Jonathan Whited (Kelsey Whited) of Highlandville, MO. Also surviving are all of her grandkids and great grandkids and great great grandkids. In addition, surviving are her siblings, Butch McCleary (Nina) of Ava, MO, Jim McCleary (Mary) of Ava, MO, Sarah Hoey ( Bill) of Springfield, MO, Rick McCleary (Tamara) of Springfield, MO and other relatives and friends.

Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Mary’s request was to be cremated and the family is honoring her wishes.
