Mary Martha Williams, 73 years, 3 months, 29 days old, passed away on September 28, 2017 at her home with her husband, Tom, children and grandchildren by her side.

Mary Martha was born May 29, 1944 in Ava, MO to Harold and Helen (Berry) Hutchison.

She was a retired public School Teacher and had taught a total of 42 years. She taught in the Ava area for 35 years. Also, for many years she worked with her parents in the family restaurant, Hutch's Country Inn.

On June 5, 1983 Mary Martha and Tom Williams were united in marriage at the Ava United Methodist Church.

Mary Martha was a devoted member of the Ava United Methodist Church and loved singing in the church choir. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Ava Chapter #47 and the Grand Chapter of Missouri as Grand Chaplain 2011. She had served as Worthy Matron numerous times along with Tom as Worthy Patron. Mary Martha wore many hats. She & Tom loved breeding and raising Labradors. Other endeavors she delighted in doing were sewing, cooking, crafting, gardening, and most of all being with her family!

Mary Martha was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Tom of the home in Ava, two daughters, Lisa & husband, Scott Arner, Springfield, MO, Stephanie Williams, and fiancé, Derek Rowe, Evansville, Wisconsin, seven grandchildren, Adam Arner, Adrienne Arner, Andrew & Ericka Arner, Alaina Arner, Wally Rowe, and Louis Rowe, one great granddaughter, Karleigh Arner, one brother & wife, Ben & Suzie Hutchison, Madison, WI.

A Celebration of Life service for Mary Martha will be Monday, Oct. 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ava United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Jessica Foster. Memorials may be made to the Mary Martha Williams Scholarship Fund c/o Century Bank of the Ozarks, P.O. Box 1600, Ava, MO 65608. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
