Maurice Dale Lamb
Ava, MO (Brushyknob Community)

Maurice Dale Lamb, son of Theone Lamb and Margaret Clement Lamb was born on Sept. 30, 1936 in Mesa, AZ and passed away on May 31, 2008 in Springfield, MO at the age of 71 years.

Maurice was a resident in the Brushyknob community for fifty years where he owned and operated a Dairy Farm. On March 15, 1957 Maurice and Carolyn Moyers were united in marriage in Higley, AZ and to this union seven children were born.
Maurice was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Mitchell Gale Lamb, one sister, Carlene Wiltbank and two brothers, Theone Lamb Jr. and Leroy Lamb.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, one son and wife, Gordon Dale and Miriam Lamb, Portland, OR, five daughters and their spouses, Elizabeth Zitting, Springfield, MO, Lee Ann & Chris Thomlinson, Wasola, MO, Callie & Rodney Welch, Jackson, TN, Jolene & Billy Parmenter, Norwood, MO and Jamie & Konrad Hendrickson, Ozark, MO,
35 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, four sisters and their spouses,
Ella Mae & Ed Sorensen, Joann & Leonard Hathcock, Sandra Brown and Karen & Jay Rodgers, one brother & wife, Leonard & Edith Lamb.

Services for Maurice will be Saturday, June, 7, 2008, 11:00 A.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Ava, MO with the Bishop Roger Kjar officiating. Interment will follow at the Ava Cemetery. Visitation is Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
