Obituary

May B. Guinn, 93 years old, passed to heaven on June 25, 2010 at Gainesville Healthcare Center, Gainesville, MO.

May was born May 11, 1917 in Hercules, MO to Elisha and Martha (Ford) Brumfield. May was the tenth of eleven children.

May was a Homemaker and a resident of the Ava community for the last ten years moving here from the farm in Gainesville. On July 7, 1935 May and Virgil Guinn were united in marriage in Forsyth, MO and to this union two sons were born.

May was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, Ava, MO.

She enjoyed quilting, keeping up on current events, she also loved taking care of her cattle and attending the Democratic Caucus.

May was preceded in death her parents, a son, Stan Guinn and her husband, Virgil Guinn. She is survived by a son, Charles and Genevieve Guinn, Nevada, MO, six grandchildren, Brad of Nevada, MO, Jeff, of Ft. Worth, Tx, Caroline, Jacksonville, FL, Christy, Bentonville, AR, Lori ,Hixon, TN and Jim, Camp Lejeune, SC, nine great grandchildren.


Graveside services for May will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 2, 2010, at the Blair Cemetery, Bradleyville. Visitation will be Thursday 7 to 8 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home; Ava, MO. officiating will be Pastor Genevieve Guinn. Memorials may be made to St. Leo's Catholic Church.
