Melvin Leon Bricker

Melvin Leon Bricker, 62 years, 10 months, and 18 days old, passed away on, May 26, 2025 at his home with family by his side.

Melvin was born July 8, 1962 in Mtn. Grove, Missouri to Tommy and Betty (Jones) Bricker.

He was a Christian and attended Faith Rock Church in Ava, Missouri.  He loved witnessing for the Lord.

Melvin spent 25 years coaching basketball.  He had a Bachelors of Science Degree and taught Elementary Education for many years. During those years, he had a great impact on the kids he taught and coached. He dedicated a lot of his time to the community and was a school board member for several years.

Melvin and Amy Bricker were united in marriage on June 5, 2014 in Miami, Oklahoma.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports. He liked the Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals.  He also liked scrapping metal.  He loved spending time with his family.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mealonie; stepson, Christopher Malley; nephew, Chris Petro; and a great-nephew, Malachi Petro.

Melvin is survived by his wife, Amy; five children, Aaron and Jessica Bricker, Amanda and Luke Nicholson, Kelsey Caudill, Dilyan Caudill, and Jeremiah and Kara Malley; four grandchildren, Kyle Bricker, Khylei Caudill, Jakob Fath, and Owen Fath; sister, Debbie Petro; nephew, Michael Petro; great-nephew, Mason Petro; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Melvin will be Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, Missouri. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 PM to service time.  Burial will be in the Goodhope Cemetery.  Officiating will be Pastor James Hathcock and Pastor Jesse Davidson.  Memorials may be made to Mid-America Transplant or love offering to the family.
