Melvin H. Caudill, 80 years, went to meet the Lord on August 5, 2010 at Ava, MO.
Melvin was born November 4, 1929 in Douglas County, MO to Rev. William Martin and Stella (Maggard) Caudill.
Melvin was a resident of Ava most of his life. He was retired from Emerson Electric Co. in Ava, MO. He was also a carpenter, logger and a farmer. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, going to the creek and working with his horses. He loved being with his family and friends.
Melvin was preceded by his parents,a brother, Delbert Caudill and one grandson, John Paul Groth.
Melvin is survived by six daughters, Ruth Churchill, Mansfield, MO, Dorothy Longwith, Springfield, MO, Mary Frecks, Mansfield, MO, Ella Paxton, Lebanon, MO, Georgia Maggard, Oldfield, MO and Rebecca Perry, Jackson, TN, 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, three brothers, Carroll Caudill, Chadwick, MO, Tony Caudill, Strafford, MO and Randy Caudill, Springfield, MO, two sisters, Edna Pruett, Nixa, MO and Glenda Jost, Greely, CO and a host of other relatives and friends.
Family Visitation will be Saturday, August 7, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Graveside service with family and friends will be Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, NOON at Arno Cemetery, Ava, MO with Rev. Les Hallmark officiating.
