MERRILL RICHARDS

Merrill Richards passed away Friday, September 21, 2007 at his residence in Gainesville, Missouri. He was 67 years old. Merrill was born on January 31, 1940 in Spring Hill, Kansas to William B. Richards and Opal Agnes (Boyd) Richards. On August 2, 1969, Merrill and Sandra Terry were married in Harrisonville, Missouri. A boot maker by trade, Merrill also worked in the boot and shoe repair business. Merrill attended the True Hope General Baptist Church in Theodosia. He is survived by his wife Sandy Richards of the home, 3 sons Doug Richards and wife Cindy of Tampa, Florida, Chris Richards and wife Sherri of Spring Hill, Kansas, and Dennis Richards and wife Angela of Olathe, Kansas; granddaughter Codi, mother-in-law Versal Terry of Theodosia, Missouri; brother Bill Richards of Louisburg, Kansas; sisters Dorothy Lay of Olathe, Kansas and Carole Stricker of Gardner, Kansas
Merrill is preceded in death by his parents William and Opal Richards, 2 brothers James and Herb Richards, and father-in-law Flay Terry.
Funeral Services were held Monday, September 24, 2007 at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville, Missouri with Doyle Turner officiating. Burial followed at Price Place Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Doug Richards, Chris Richards, Dennis Richards, Jared Terry, Joe Terry, Rick Donley, Randy Donley, Kevin Honeycutt, and Jeff Terry.
Memorial may be made to the Family, and left at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home.
