Michael Wayne "Mike" Wilson

Ava, Missouri

Michael Wayne Wilson, 74 years, 3 months, 28 days old, passed away from a two year battle with cancer on April 18, 2017 at his home with his wife, Linda and family by his side.

Mike was born December 21, 1942 in Dallas, Texas to Leo and Virginia Wilson.

Mike and Linda Jones were united in marriage and to this union five children were born. Linda preceded him in death. Later, on August 12, 1997 Mike and Linda Howie were united in marriage at Riverside, CA.

Mike was a retired log truck driver for many years in California and Oregon. He also worked as a Lather for 13 years in California. When he and Linda moved to Ava he worked at Wal-Mart before fully retiring.

Mike was a Christian and a member of Life Church in Ava. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, building, and being outdoors.

Mike was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda, his parents, and one son, Thomas.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Linda of the home in Ava, MO, four children, Randy Wilson, CA, Shawn Wilson and wife, Bev, Lancaster, CA, Jim Wilson and wife, Rose, Albany, OR, and Dawn Gronlund, Burbank, WA, two step daughters, Amelia Stiles and husband, Phillip, Battlefield, MO and Alesha Boggs, Albany, OR, four grandchildren, Rachal, Hustin, Sahara, and Jaxson, one great grandson, Michael, one sister, Sue Davis and husband, Ron, Coquille, OR, and many other relatives and numerous friends.


A visitation for Mike will be Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with cremation following services per Mike's wishes. Friends may view prior to visitation Saturday, April 22nd.
