MILTON C. HOEFLE

Milton C. Hoefle, Pontiac, MO, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at his residence at the age of 71 years. He was born March 22, 1938 in St. Louis, MO son of Arch and Ruby (Shelton) Hoefle.

Milt was employed by National Supermarkets in St. Louis for 30 years where he served as Vice President of Information Services. He loved to fish, hunt, work in his wood shop and "living at the lake". He was a member of St. Williams Parish in Gainesville, MO where he provided the music for Sunday mass, fried fish for the fish fries, made crafts for the craft fair and anything else he could help with. He was a "lake father" to many of the young people in Pontiac and was said to be the "go to guy" when someone needed help, tools or spare parts. He was loved be many and will be missed by all.

He was the beloved husband of Christine Hoefle (nee Ferlisi), dear father of Dan (Mary) Hoefle and Beth Edmondson, dear step father of Michelle (Joe) Becker and Mike Hamon; grandfather to Nick and Noah Hoefle and Matt and Madison Edmondson.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Betty Hoefle (nee McCain); mother Ruby Hoefle (nee Shelton); father Arch Hoefle and brother Melvin Hoefle.

Memorial service will be 3:00 – 7:00 PM on Monday, July 6, 2009 at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO with Deacon Joe Kurtenbach officiating. Mass will be 10 AM on Tuesday morning at St. Williams Catholic Church in Gainesville, MO with Father Urban Figge officiating. Another memorial service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2009 from 7-9PM at the JFK Community Center, 315 Howdershell in Florissant, MO.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice Foundation of the Ozarks.
