Minnie Potter, 71 years, 9 months, 2 days old, passed away on May 31, 2017 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO.
Minnie was born August 29, 1945 in Ava, MO to Clarence Lawrence and Ada Opal (Walker) King.
Minnie was retired from working at Rawlings Sporting Goods and Spaldings in Ava, MO. She had worked there for many years.
On May 5, 1996, Minnie and Edward Potter were united in marriage in Squires, MO.
Minnie was a Christian. She enjoyed fishing, squirrel and deer hunting, camping, gardening, canning, and sewing. She also loved playing her musical instruments. Her joy and love was being with all her kids, grand and great grandchildren!
Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Ralph, Lloyd, and Donas King and one sister, Virginia King.
Minnie is survived by her husband, Ed Potter, Squires, MO, four children, Everett Ross Lakey, Ava, MO, Theresa Ann Beeler, Topeka, KS, Ada Lynn Lakey, and Alicia Ellen Weyrauch, Ava, MO, seven step daughters, Debbie Clements, Julie Freeman, Lorie Coonce, Ronna Long, Tillie Fowler, Wendy Tetrick, and Sarah Potter, twelve grandchildren, three great grandchildren, many step grand and several step great grandchildren, four sisters; June Thompson, Ava, MO, Geneva & Lee Hodges, Oldfield, MO, Betty Scott and Mary Hesterlee all of Ava, MO, many nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Minnie will be Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Girdner Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, June 2nd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Donald Potter. Memorials may be made to Girdner Cemetery or Neighbor Helping Neighbor.
