Miya Lea Frye daughter of James Ellis "Rusty" Frye II and Danita Lynn Porter Frye was born on February 24, 1989 in Springfield, MO and departed this life on August 6, 2006 in Douglas County, MO at the age of 17 years, 5 months and 12 days.
Miya was a life long resident of the Ava community. She was a enrolled at Drury College to begin this fall in Ava. Miya attended the Clark Church and had also attended the Mt. Zion Bible School during her 1st and 2nd grades. She attended and enjoyed Camp Joy at Vera Cruz for several years. Miya was converted July 1996 at Camp Joy. Some of her hobbies included: horseback riding, camping, swimming at the creek, painting, cooking and sewing. Miya enjoyed meeting new people and spending time with her friends. Miya was ambitious and a young lady who overcame many struggles at a young age. She was always looking to the future. Being very positive she always found love in all and was a friend to many. She never met a stranger. Miya was an exceptional Mother. She had recently found a love for studying the Bible. Miya loved and adored her family.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Pat & Louise Porter, one sister, Autumn Louise, an uncle Doug Porter.
She is survived by her daughter, Autum Kaydence Blaze Miller, Squires, MO, her parents, James Ellis "Rusty" Frye, Squires, MO and Danita Lynn Frye, Ava, MO, grandparents, Jimmie & Jean Frye, Squires, MO, one sister, Kiya Belle Lynn Head, Gainesville, MO, several aunts, uncles, cousins and a special friend, Sayde Garrett.
Services are Thursday, August 10, 2006, 10:00 A.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with the Revs. Mark Degase and Stan Collins officiating. Interment will be in the Fannon Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 7 to 8 pm in the funeral home. Family requests memorials to the Education Fund for her daughter, Autum Miller in care of the funeral home. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
