Moses Theodore "Ted" Laughlin

Moses Theodore "Ted" Laughlin son of Ernest T. Laughlin and Frances Geneva (Rose) Laughlin was born on Dec. 1, 1943 in Nowata, OK and passed away on Feb. 23, 2009 at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, MO at the age of 65 years 2 months and 22 days.

Ted was a resident of the Ava community for several years. He was an Electrical Engineer for Emerson Electric in Rogers, AR and Ava, MO.
He was an avid entrepreneur. Ted enjoyed fishing, cooking, the outdoors, woodworking and being with his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a half brother. Ted's survivors include his one son, Teddy Laughlin, Fordland, MO and a daughter & spouse, Kalene & Curt Thompson, Noel, MO, four grandchildren, Heather, Christina, Steven & Josh, six great grandchildren, five brothers & sisters, Ralph P. Laughlin, Ava, MO, Frances Moore, Nancy Jo Johns all of Blackwell, OK, Peggy Sue Parsons, Muskogee, OK, Edna Mae Summers, Ft. Worth, TX, half-brother, Bobby Joe Laughlin, Blackwell, OK, three half-sisters, Rose Marie, Cidney & Tanda, special friend, Fern Huffman, several nieces, nephews and friends.

Services for Ted will be Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, 1:00 P.M. at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with Pastor Les Hallmark officiating. Interment will be in the Laughlin Family Cemetery, Ava, MO. Family requests memorials to the donors choice of charity.
