Myrtle Cornea Marsh, 91 years, passed to heaven on January 21, 2013 at Ozark Nursing & Care Center, Ozark, MO.

Myrtle was born May 5, 1921 in Thornfield, MO to Snead and Winnie (Turner) Lawson.

Myrtle was a resident of Ozark for a few years moving from Thornfield, MO where she lived most of her life. She was a loving homemaker.



Myrtle and Preston Hesterlee were united in marriage and he preceded her in death in 1974. She later married Lawrence Marsh and he also preceded her in death in 1993.

Myrtle was a Christian and a member of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners for all her family and she loved to jig dance, gardening and sewing. Myrtle also enjoyed singing the old hymns. Her joy was caring for all her kids and grandchildren.

Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Preston Hesterlee and Lawrence Marsh, two daughters, Freda Welch & Donna Stoner, two sons, James Edwin and Danny Hesterlee, four brothers and sisters, Jesse Pilant, Ott & Lowell Lawson and Lois Laplant.

Myrtle is survived by seven children, Darrel & Betty Hesterlee, Ava, MO, Carol & Tillman Dickson, Hot Springs, AR, Sue Burke, Sparta, MO, Rex & Lynda Hesterlee, Harrison, AR, Joe & Jana Hesterlee, Jack & Julie Hesterlee, all of Ava, MO and Terry Hesterlee, Highlandville, MO, one step son, Donnie Marsh, Tacoma, WA,
thirteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, many great great grandchildren, one sister, Retha Jones, Foil, MO, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Myrtle will be Friday, January 25, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Thornfield Cemetery, Thornfield, MO. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Brother Leon Turner. Memorials may be made to Thornfield Cemetery.
