Nancy Eveline Bailey
Ava, Missouri
Nancy Eveline Bailey, 74 years, 1 month, 16 days old, passed away on April 23, 2026, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri, with her family by her side.
Nancy was born March 7, 1952, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, to Clyde Stanley and Sibyle Mae (Byerley) Putney.
She received her High School Diploma.
On December 20, 1980, Nancy and Richard Edward Bailey were united in marriage in Gainesville, Missouri. Together they built a life centered on love and family, raising five sons, Mark, Joe, and Ric Harper and Josh and Christopher Bailey.
Nancy was a homemaker and housewife. She was awesome at this occupation. She loved going camping with her family. Nancy enjoyed swimming, family activities, and going to Vera Cruz with her grandchildren and having wiener roasts! Nancy was a Christian and was baptized at Rome by Pastor Dale Roberts. She was a member of Black Oak General Baptist Church. When Black Oak would have their Christmas program she always loved playing an angel. Her joy was her family, and she was devoted to them and her Rick.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Betty Wolfe, and one brother, James Putney.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Rick; her children and their spouses, Mark & Loura Harper, Joe & Jennifer Harper, Ric & Lilly Harper, Josh Bailey, and Chris & Rita Bailey; her 16 grandchildren, and one great grandson, Emmett; her siblings, Sonja Ball, Yvonne Putney, Mona Martin, Everette Putney, and Bob Putney; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Funeral services for Nancy will be Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, Missouri, with burial following in the Brushyknob Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, April 27th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Clinkingbeards. Officiating will be Pastor David Dodson. Family requests memorials be made to Brushyknob Cemetery.
