Nancy Jo Cummings, 56 years, 3 months, and 10 days old, passed away on January 6, 2016 at her home in Ava.
Nancy was born September 27, 1959 in Quitman, GA to LD and Sybil (Zeigler) Cummings. She had attended the Brooks High School in Quitman, GA.
Nancy was a resident of the Ava community, moving from Georgia. Nancy had worked in Joe's Pawn Shop as a clerk in Ava. She grew up in Quitman, GA where she attended the Magnolia Baptist Church with her family.
She enjoyed camping and fishing.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, LD Cummings, Michael Cummings (brother) and Amanda Crawford Chambers (niece). She was predeceased by her lifetime partner Joe Bannister.
Nancy is survived by her mother, Sybil Cummings, Valdosta, GA, three
sisters, Janet Singer, Sherry Sasser (Terry), Delores Register (Nolan-deceased). Nancy is survived by her nieces and nephews, Michele Crawford, Christopher Crawford, Melissa Davis, Keith and Kevin Howell.
Nancy is survived by special friends, James Barton and Kim Rogers.
Cremation for Nancy is being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
