Naomi McKnight

Naomi McKnight, daughter of Lincoln Barnes and Euldena Kester Barnes was born on January 3, 1909 in Ava, MO and departed this life on April 28, 2007 in Ava, MO at the age of 98 years, 3 months and 25 days.

Naomi lived most of her life in the Roy community near Ava where she and her husband, Condie owned and operated the Roy Country Store.
In 1933, Naomi and Condie M. McKnight were united in marriage in Ava, MO and to this union two children were born.
Naomi enjoyed crocheting, gardening, cooking and growing flowers.
She loved being active, visiting with people and being with her family.

Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Lawrence Barnes, one sister, Gussie Watkins and her husband, Condie in 2001.
She is survived by her two children and their spouses, Doris & Bill Hicks, Ava, MO and Robert & Betty McKnight, Bedford, Texas,
five grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service is Wednesday, May 2, 2007, 2:00 p.m. at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with the Rev. Tom Johnson officiating. Visitation will be Wed., 1:00 p.m. to service time.
Interment will follow in the Goodhope Cemetery, Ava, MO.
