Naomi Beulah Vandenberg, 89 years, 9 months, and 12 days old, passed to heaven on December 17, 2013 at her daughter's home here in Ava.
Naomi was born March 5, 1924 in Blue Island, IL to Beulah Davis.
Naomi and Allen Arthur Vandenberg were united in marriage in 1944 in Blue, Island, IL and to this union two children were born. Naomi was a retired housekkeeper at Chastain's Nursing Home in Ava and had worked there for 30 years.
Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Allen Vandenberg, three grandchildren and one brother, Chuck Davis.
Naomi is survived by two children; Ellen Jean Carson, Ava, MO and Donald Vandenberg, Shawna, Wisconsin, two grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Cremation services for Naomi are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. A memorial service will be Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava. Officiating will be Pastor Stan Collins and Pastor Buddy Boyd.
